Messenger review

Messenger is a beloved communication app developed and integrated by Facebook. No chat via Facebook is possible without this convenient and easy-to-use add-on.

If you’re looking for ways to simplify and automate your Facebook interactions with other users, you might want to consider installing this app. It provides all the features necessary for staying in touch with the family, friends, and colleagues.

Interface and Design — 8/10

Seemingly simple, the design of the application combines versatility and functionality. The main interface consists of listed chats and people you’ve been recently in touch with. Every new chat change is marked with a blue dot to inform you about an incoming message.

Above the list is a search tab where it’s possible to find the exact chat within seconds. Also, you can customize your chat appeal by entering the settings in the top right corner of the screen.

Key Functions — 9/10

With its constant and reliable updates, the application acquires more and more traits that make up a good-quality chat. Switching between chats and people tabs will allow you to find the person you need as fast as possible without wasting your time on scrolling down the list.

Mark messages as read or react to them with an emoji by pressing on it, your communication is more lively than ever. By adding photos, voice recordings, or sharing information, Messenger becomes more than just a chat platform but a full-blown means of communication.

The app provides the user with a video-call option. Here, you can speak to your friend directly via a high-quality connection. Also, you can add even more people to create a conference simply by referring to other Facebook users.

Usability — 10/10

To begin using the app, all you need is your Facebook account that will synchronize with your in-platform contacts. After installing the app and logging in, you can start connecting to people right away. Though your messages might not be visible to them at first, especially if you’re not friends on Facebook, it will appear as a suggested message in the top right corner.

Don’t forget to check your friend’s stories displayed a little above the chat list. By tapping on their story bubbles, you can react to them, share, or simply comment on them. This will send your feedback directly to your Messenger chat and inform your friends via notifications.

By swiping left on a chosen chat, you can delete it, turn off notifications, or simply select one of the interaction options. In case you don’t want someone to bother you, you can either deactivate their messages or ignore them for as long as you don’t need them.
